IMBROS
Imbros is a Turkish island in the Aegean, at the southern end of the Thracian Chersonese peninsula. The colony was established about 450 B.C., during the first Athenian empire, and was retained by Athens for the next sixt centuries. From about 350 B.C. limited quantities of pseudo-autonomous coins were struck there. It may have become independent under Septimius Severus. In the Roman Imperial period were issued small series of Greek Imperial coins.
SAMOTHRACE
Samothrace is a Greek island in the Aegean, one of the Thracian islands. At he end of 8th century B.C. the island was colonized by greeks from Samos. It was subjected by Phillip II, and from then till 168 B.C. it was under Macedonian suzerainity. From about 280 B.C. pseudo-autonomous coins were struck there. Vespasian absorbed the island in the Roman Empire in A.D. 70. In the Roman Imperial period only Hadrian issued small series of Greek Imperial coins.
THASOS
Thasos is a Greek island in the Aegean, one of the Thracian islands. From about the 5th century B.C. it began to struck gold, silver and base-metal pseudo-autonomous coins. In the Roman Imperial period the emperors were issued small series of Greek Imperial coins.
